This isn’t just any PC, it changed the Grime & Dubstep game

History: This isn’t just an old PC, this machine sent Rinse FM radio worldwide for the first time, for 2 years (2005-2007). It was setup in Darkside’s bedroom, and had a constant whirling sound, similar to a hair-dryer.

With a Hi-Fi aerial just able to pick up the 100.3 frequency from New Addington, Croydon. Plus a mini jack in to the PC and broadcast via a free program called ShoutCast.

This web stream took London’s biggest pirate station, worldwide, and facilitated sources like Barefiles.com to record the stream, which was instrumental in the global exposure of Grime & Dubstep.
