Massive doublepack from Headhunter, with “Locus Lotus” opening the set with an infectious carnival reduction complete with squashed stabs and staggered snares – the kind of propulsive 4/4 dubstep that’s primed for peak time.
“Drop The Waste” delivers a halfstep standard with a nifty line in clipped synths while “Sushi Brain” is quite easily the largest cut here – comprised of a demented synthline and skewed wobbles, the production here is just utterly immense.
“Quanta” on the flip brings the 4/4 styles once again, though this time the palette will appeal to those of you who’ve been feeling Martyn’s production of late.
“Spyro” ends the session with a reduced military halfstep, maximum bass pressure to the last note.
