DJ Fresh – Louder (FLUX PAVILION AND DOCTOR P REMIX)

DJ Fresh’s ’Louder’ has definitely got what it takes to storm the charts, with hype already raising, it is set to be big this summer. Like ‘Gold Dust’ everything about it is catchy, the tune, the lyrics and the drops. Fresh’s radio edit has some very prominent club vibes which will slot ‘Louder’ nicely into the mainstream but he brings it back to his roots with a huge drum and bass drop to finish the track.

With vocals coming from Kosheen’s Sian Evans and remixes by the likes of Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, Drumsound and Bassline Smith and Herve this single is going to be pulling fans in from all over the place. Herve’s remix slips in some housey, bassline beats, Drumsound and Bassline Smith keep it old school with their Drum and Bass remix while Flux and Doctor P get a bit grimey in their dubstep version. As soon as Flux and P’s mix starts you hear the tempo is slower and the bass is down lower. Unlike the radio edit it’s not as focussed on vocals, only including the chorus and bringing in some samples of their own, concentrating more on wobbling the sound and slamming in drops.

There is still an element of club music in their remix but they’ve toned it down a lot and broken up the sound, transforming the tune and putting their stamp all over it.
Flux’s influence is prominent in the intro and Doctor P’s sound comes through strongly in the drop. It may take a couple of listens to get into but there is no denying they have created a hit. Commercial or not it has the diversity to appeal to many genres and it is most definitely a bass shaker. This tune was intended to be played loud and I predict it will be in clubs, car stereos and bedrooms everywhere this summer, listen out for it. DJ Fresh feat Sian Evans ’Louder’ was released Sunday 3rd July on Ministry Of Sound Recordings.
