WND002 - What (Caspa Remix)

Remember that track from 2004 that switched the paces throughout Grime music? Or...that track that every MC has merked and demanded an instant reload?.....It was titled "WHAT", produced by Wonder and released on Dumpvalve 005.....remember!
Well.....it was then remixed by Geeneus, and it was boldly stated it was only for Wonder, Geeneus and of course Slimzee, and no one will ever get it, and it will never be released!
Unfortunately for them; they realised this was criminal; one of the best remixes to date, of one of the most successful grime tracks to date...to never hit the shelves! What were they thinking.....So yes, with demand, it was released back in 2006 and was released on Dumpvalve 012. This track can still be heard on Rinse Fm even now! And my dubplate copy, cut at JTS Studios is still crackle free, yet I played it 1 thousand times!
Just as we thought the story of WHAT has began to sit within the archives of anthems; or also known as "The safe option" for a Dj who cant get a crowd going; we expected it to continue as it is and still demanding radio play and a classic track for MC's to roll with..... butno!
Wonder has allowed another exciting remix to take place, this time by Caspa, hang on, lets summarise; the original blew up the grime scene back in 2004, then gets a huge remix by Geeneus, and now remixed by Caspa!
The highlight for 2008 already, is that this is also getting released, and its due at the end of this month (February 2008) on WND002...oh and wait...thats not all. If your like me, or you listen to The GetDarker Show on Rinse FM (Thursday Nights 11-1), then you will know I was the worst at putting vinyls back into their sleves throughout 2004...so if your like me and in need of another copy of the original WHAT, then that problem is now resolved; as this Caspa Remix release also includes the original on the B Side!
